Inspiration
Thinking of Mount Vinson in Antartica has a few words immediately springing to mind - cold, vast, unyielding. It takes immense fortitude to face and conquer the most remote peak in the Seven Summits challenge.
While Wildfire’s Vinson-tini isn’t quite so challenging to defeat, we’ve taken inspiration from the icy slopes. Simply freezing cold gin and vermouth, you can almost feel the crack of ice underfoot and the swirling, biting gale as you sip on this pure, polar experience.
Ingredients
1. Chill a nick & Nora or martini glass in the freezer.
2. Once frozen, splash a little dry vermouth into the glass, swirl to coat then discard any remaining vermouth.
3. Return the glass to the freezer.
4. In a shaker filled with ice, add the gin then shake vigorously till frosty.
5. Strain into the frozen glass then top with a twist of grapefruit skin.
